U.S. AGENT
|
| QUOTE: | "Red, White and Blue by God and Glory!" "Cross the line and you cross my team." |
BACKGROUND: |
One of the squad that partook in the raid on the Citadel, the impregnable lair of the Justice Machine. Also was amongst those Minute Men who failed to prevent the kidnapping of Captain Thunder from his trial. Stepped up as leader of the Minute Men (now calling himself U.S. Agent) in the wake of the resignation of the Golden Avenger and led that team in pursuit of the rogue Knights of the Coast. After that blossomed into a full-blown robotic plot to take over the United States, personality differences caused the breakup of the Minute Men. In early August, 2001, U.S. Agent left the group to lead a new team called The Ultramarines, intended to work hand in hand with F.O.R.C.E.. |

KotC ENCOUNTERS: |
- part of the Minute Men team that joined up with the Knights amidst the March Crisis to raid the impregnable lair of the Justice Machine. - amongst those to try to capture the rogue Knights when they attempted to liberate Victor Stewart from the cellblock where he was being held. Responded poorly to the mental assault by Templar which left him singing "I'm a Little Teapot" on National TV. His post-fight debrief was an unhappy affair, to say the least. - was also in attendance at the ill-fated Rock Against Registration benefit concert. While he did make some efforts to stop the intended massacre planned by the Industrial Revolution, he was also perfectly willing to tangle with the real Knights, in particular Black Blur and Phoenix (who took U.S. Agent down after an extended battle even as F.O.R.C.E. reinforcements arrived). - when the rogue Enforcer attacked Washington D.C., U.S. Agent was there to try to stop it. When the Knights showed up with the same goal, however, his fury at being humiliated and knocked out in their previous encounters led him to start attacking them instead. He knocked out Phoenix and seriously injured Templar and Ariadne before agreeing to an uneasy truce to allow combined elements of both teams to take action against the forces threatening the Senate within the Capitol Building. During this battle he was taken out in consecutive tough frays against the fearsome Octobot and PsiBorg. - numbered amongst those assigned to escort the captive Phoenix to the Humanidyne labs at the start of the operation known colloquially as Operation Goody Goody Two Shoes. Came under the unexpected assault of minions of Dr. Cyclops and was incapacitated, only to be (ironically and embarassingly) rescued by Phoenix. - returned to Coast City in early September, 2001, in hopes of locating and recapturing the once-again-apparently-rogue Knights of the Coast, leading a pair of fellow Ultramarines and a F.O.R.C.E. squad. Arrived even as Operation Face-Off was being launched, and was largely stymied, capturing only a couple of second-rate supervillains left for him by the Knights. |
