BACKGROUND: 
Lady Laser, the Mistress of Laser Technology has shown the ability to adapt her lasers to produce varied effects. She is currently operating out of Texas, previously along the West Coast. Her adopted daughter, Laserette seeks to follow in her mother's footsteps and moonlights as a hero, using one of Lady Laser's earlier sets of suit and gadgets.

Corrupted by the influence of Avatar, Lady Laser became a central member of the Justice Machine, producing the Macrolaser that was intended to aid their efforts to spark Armageddon, and willing even to sacrifice her daughter for the cause. She escaped the chaos accompanying the defeat of that attempt, and may be considered to be at large continuing to pursue those twisted goals.
