Those present at The Knights Redoubt: Phoenix, Hazardman, Battosai.
Absent: Cipher, Sub-Zero.
MIA: Wraith and Perseus.
Wraith returns. He had followed Beast from our last encounter. Reports finding the wreckage of a sub
and some strange monoliths in a crevice at the bottom of the Ocean. Reported seeing some evidence
of movement and felt imminent danger.
We must prepare to investigate this, as it could be a serious threat and a key component in the
investigation of the recent coordination and cooperation amongst criminal groups.
Hazardman announces that due to our inability to maintain our word and protect the Band of the
Hand from the Justice Machine, he is leaving the group and "going deep". He claimed "She came
to us and we failed her, I failed her. A promise made is a debt unpaid. Down this road I must go."
Battosai claims that "Betrayal is a hidden blade."
After private words with Hazardman, I have ordered his Security Clearance revoked and his ejection
from the Knights of the Coast. He will probably walk the dark path and it will bring me no joy in
bringing him down. But should it be needed, I will not hesitate. Battosai requires a close eye, his
loyalties are still suspect.

Received a call from Laserette, Claims that the being named Sentinel wishes to meet with the
Knights. On her word I have given authorization from him to come directly to the base.
Upon his arrival, we are informed that he is from the future, An evil tyrant will rise from these
times and subjugate the world he lives in. He cannot give us specific information. The current
events seem to indicate that the rise of this tyrant has begun. I suspect Thunder but we cannot be
so focused as to ignore other possibilities.

Interrupted by a call on the private line by one who claims he is called Templar, referred to us by
Dr. Moon. I meet him at the Airport and take the scenic route back. He knows about the Black Sword
and claims to be concerned that its defenses are weakening. Also rambles on about it being a tool
needed by the Dark forces working against us. Drops the name Ramirez as the New Dark Paladin. Must
investigate him and find his connection to the criminals... Trelayne was mobilizing and organizing
them. Arrange to meet with Battosai, and Wraith at Big Al’s With Templar... Sentinel is going
shopping.
1535
Meal interrupted with message from Sentinel (who was left alone at our base) that Laserette's
distress beacon had gone off. He had used our equipment to trace the signal. We gather at the base
and take the plane to "The Citadel".
1720
Arrived Citadel. Unable to reach any members of the Justice Machine. Galahad (Cit AI) not helpful,
but polite. When contacting P.A.C. to see if they have access they inform us that the Minute Men have
been ordered by the President to have the Justice Machine "Stand Down". They get the location from us
and scramble the Minute Men.
1800
Minute Men who arrive shortly in an American motif painted plane. Golden Avenger,
Right Winger, White Knight get out accompanied by Manticore and Diamond Lil.
After introductions, a quick briefing and some small talk, the decision is made to force our way
into the base. Diamond Lil began on the main door, I assisted. Galahad informs us that it is
activating the internal defenses. Sentinel gets viruses while trying to access and override Galahad.
(Taken out of the fight.) Through the second door, a poison gas is encountered, forcing the removal
of the second door and a retreat out to fresh air. Manticore pushed on (sealed systems).
Light resistance inside the first level. Mainly living quarters, briefing room and library.
One meeting room has pictures and information about some Aztec goddess (Coatlicue, the Mother of
Gods). Also some is hardening chewing gum.
Other evidence; information of an Aztec exhibit being shown in Seattle. Called them and the key
statue appears to be in the possession of a Mr. Sterling (poss. Silver Sorcerer?). Who is out of
the dimension at the moment.
Penetration of the second level involved mobile laser Orbs (easily dealt with). Wraith has gone
missing while scouting. Second level contains sleeping quarters; Thunder, Lady Laser. Templar
informs us that he cannot detect Laserette within 32 miles of our location.
The base appears to be abandoned. Galahad has informed us that he has informed the Justice Machine
of our intrusion. Templar concerned about trap; possibility that distress call was staged to draw
us here.

At the time of this report we are gathered on the second level of the base exploring options. We
have the rest of the Base to explore as well as the Face to Face with the Justice Machine.

WRAPUP : |
Thoughts: This could be a distraction while the JM are off doing something they do not want
us to interfere with. We may be able to "talk" Galahad around.
Incomplete objectives: Location of Laserette, Location and disbanding of Justice Machine.
Neutralization of their base.
Important follow-up points: Location of Perseus, the Location and Id of Ramirez, The Sub
and rocks.
