Originally a star college athlete from Kansas who was picked up as an in-house super-hero during the superhero craze of the late 60s and early 70s, the Dollar Bill slugged it out with such would-be bank-robbers and villains as the Screaming Skull. He died in 1973 as the result of a tragic accident when he got his cape stuck in a revolving door and was struck by a piece of concrete knocked from the building by Man Mountain.
