`BACKGROUND:`	Active during the time of King Arthur, Lord Trelayne was a powerful knight whose downfall and turn to evil was sparked by the assassination of his wife. Driven by desparation to turn to the darkest of magick in an effort to resurrect her, he was somehow entombed in a crypt and unearthed centuries later by the noted archaeologist Greg ("Tiger") Brady. Brought within his tomb to Coast City, the villains of Nightforce managed to revive him for purposes of their own. While briefly aligned with Dr. Diablo, he established himself in a position of authority within Nightforce and engineered the abandonment of Diablo in the latter's apparent moment of triumph. When the party inadvertantly forayed into the past, they changed the series of events that would have led to Trelayne's downfall, and in fact befriended him (thanks to Oberon's tremendous act of self-sacrifice) such that he accompanied their ill-fated defense of Avalon. He continues to aid Oberon's attempts to free his homeland, until such a time as he can be restored to his own time. The conflux of fate that accompanied his erstwhile downfall has apparently been passed to another...
`MOTIVATION:`	Wished to destroy everything.
`TACTICS:`	While extremely powerful and ruthless, Trelayne retains a strong sense of honor. In other villains this would have already led to his capture as he declined to press an advantage or remained in a battle too long in order to rescue a comrade, but the Black Paladin has the raw power and defenses to survive such a strategy.
`KNOWN STRENGTHS:`	Very skilled at locating an opponent's weakness.
`KNOWN WEAKNESSES:`	Honorable to a fault.
`OFFENSIVE POWERS:`	Very skilled/potent at HtH combat. Wields an explosive mace.

`KotC ENCOUNTERS:`	- Tribunal was witness to his release from his crypt. During that encounter he managed to best both Big Blue and Crucible before escaping with a hostage, Alicia Stacey. - the group anticipated his next move and were awaiting him at the Police Museum where his sword was located. They managed to foil his plan to retrieve that weapon and drive him off. - on Samhain, Trelayne was last seen helping to guard Dr. Diablo as that villain attempted Apotheosis. Midway through that battle, he collected the scattered remnants of Nightforce and escaped, leaving Diablo to fend for himself in his (apparent) moment of victory. - when the group was accidentally cast back on the shores of history, they re-encountered Sir Trelayne - before his great Fall. With Oberon's great sacrifice to resurrect the Lady Isabella, the Fall was averted. - took part in the the ill-fated defense of Avalon, and continues to aid the struggle there.
