BACKGROUND: 
INTERVIEW. The only child of the inventor-superhero Digitalis, Edward Blake was orphaned at a young age in a tragic accident which marked him deeply. As he grew to maturity, his powers manifested themselves and he took to a superhero career. He was one of the driving forces behind the Knights of the Coast, formally aligning with Oberon and Tribunal as a response to an increased wave of supervillain activity in Coast City.

When not flying around defending the city, Edward was the head of Crucible Incorporated, a multinational corporation under the control of Lawrence Schexnayder and headed the charitable Blake Foundation. A minor celebrity, he lived the appropriate lifestyle.

Alas, Blake recently perished in the depths of space, sacrificing himself after the capture of the other Knights to try prevent the Ophidian Republic from learning the whereabouts of Earth.

TACTICS: 
Crucible is enthusastic, but impulsive and has a tendency to over-commit fostered by years of encountering only second-rate villains. In battle he relies as much upon intuition as logic, and creatively uses the full range of his flame powers.
