Drag Measurement on HPVs
The Data Logger
The Data Logger is a small computer designed around a 68HC11 microcontroller. It is equipped with 32kBytes of RAM to store the data of multiple coastdown tests and 32kBytes of EPROM to hold the controller's firmware. A circuit diagram is available as a GIF-image (12.5k) or as a Postscript file (124k). I have also designed a single sided PCB of dimension 91.5mm x 76.2mm, which fits into a Teko-case. The firmware is written in C combined with some assembler statements. It can be compiled by the freely available GNU-C compiler for the 68HC11. Both, the layout and the firmware are available from me on request. Just mail to Christian Starkjohann <cs@hal.kph.tuwien.ac.at>.
If you don't have enough experience with self-made hardware, I can build a Data Logger for you. Send me a mail and we will (hopefully) come to an agreement.
