Most of the sections are 7 rounds, and will have a round at 10 am on Thursday.
Tiebreak games for 1st, 2nd or 3rd place in each group will take place at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday, or 1 hour after the end of the last game involving a player involved in the particular tie, whichever is sooner.
In the event of a tie between two players for first place, there will be a single game with a time control of 30 minutes per player. If that game is drawn, another game will be played with colours reversed at 15 minutes per player.
For all other ties (including ties for first place involving more than 2 players), there will be a single round-robin with a time limit of 15 minutes per player.
The above games will be played under the rules of Rapid Chess
If there are still ties (involving 2 players) for 1st, 2nd, or 3rd, they will be broken by a blitz game where White has 6 minutes, Black has 5, and a drawn game is counted as a win for Black.
If a playoff is required in a section having only 6 rounds (girls under 18 and girls under 12), it will take place when the other sections are playing round 7. Time control will be 60 minutes each (two players tie for first) or 30 minutes each (all other ties).
Initial colours in 2-player playoffs will be drawn by lot just before the game starts.
It is intended that all playoffs finish by 5 pm Thursday.
After the playoffs. Details TBA
