Catherine Gisborne (5 October 1953 - 14 December 1999) was my wife, but more important, a special person. She was an artist, full of talent and sensitivity. She was a friend, full of generosity and caring. She was a builder, full of energy and determination.

I have been meaning to put up a special page to her, but she was also a perfectionist and a procrastinator, and maybe she loved those qualities in me, too!

Anyway, it is May 9, 2000 and I am finally putting something up. This page will always be under construction, and its development sporadic. If you have memories to add to this page, please send me them.

December 13, 2009. It is the eve of the 10th anniversary of Catherine's death. Funny to look at the above paragraph and soak it in that I haven't much changed these pages nor added in the past nine years. Love is eternal, eh? Well, there's a small change today in the: Catherine's favourite movies   page.

Grace Yong writes: "I have designed a show garden for the Regent's Park Flower Show for the charity Wellbeing, which is mainly an obstetrics and gynaecological charity. One of the things they sponsor research into is ovarian cancer. The garden is called The Three Ages of Woman and I have dedicated it to Catherine, in lieu of a fee. It is open to the public from 22 June to the 26th [2000] and I shall do my darndest to make sure we win."

Yeah Grace! Grace was one of Catherine's fellow students at the Inchbald School of Design. Catherine did the Garden Design course there, in London, England, in 1996. "I've never worked so hard". Catherine made several close close friends there.

This page has received hugs since 30 May 2000
