The
Nanaimo Chapter was the host club for this year's Island Challenge, which
totaled 23 entries, all from Friday
evening was the 'Meet and Greet" wine and cheese party, with very heavy
praying to the sun gods for a better day on Saturday. It
must have worked, Saturday broke with sunny skies for the entire day of the
tour, which was 158 km. of the most scenic back roads the For
Saturday lunch, we stopped at the home of Geoff Hopps to partake of a Box
Lunch, and to view all of the many farm implements, tractors and one-cylinder
engines that were on display for all to enjoy. You really could spend the whole

were back to Nanaimo for the Saturday evening banquet, with door prizes and
dancing and some good old 'guys and gals 'visiting', and comparing notes of the
day's events. Sunday
morning was the brunch at the ABC Restaurant followed by a garage tour of Andy
Stull's many collectibles; while the ladies were treated to a very detailed
lace-making demonstration by Melanie Morley. The group broke up by Until
