Photo Gallery

These pages contain some of my favorite photos. More will be added when and if I shoot another picture worth keeping...
The base picture size is my version of a thumbnail (!), clicking on it usually yields a full size image. Thumbnails are around 800x600 pixels and full size images are around 1500x1100 pixels. I'll leave it up to you to decide what connection speed and monitor resolution that implies.
For you technical buffs, images prior to 2000 are taken with borrowed cameras of ill repute while new images come from my EOS 3000 using either the 28-105 USM or 100-300L Zooms. I didn't buy the 100-300L because it was good, rather because it was light (my camera is all plastic) and obsolete (ie cheap). The good shots are then scanned with my Canon FS2710 film scanner using Vuescan.
Bella Coola, BC. This section has a couple print scans but the country is so unique they made the cut anyway. One of these days I'll find the negatives. In any case Hunlen Falls, The Precipice and The Hill are a must see.
Our Houses. Our various houses over time including an interesting walk around our current neighbourhood. A microcosm within a large city. Since most of the shots are current I can even tell you what film is used. Slides are Velvia and ProviaF while negatives are Reala and Supra 400.
Vancouver Area Sledding These are landscapes from two of my favorite riding areas. The first is Brohm Ridge set against the spectacular backdrop of Mt Garibaldi and the second area is the Pemberton Ice Fields.
Other Snowmobile Pictures A potpourri of shots usually taken as an afterthought while sledding.
Around BC_1 Uncategorized pictures taken while wandering around BC.
Around BC_2 More uncategorized BC pictures.
Wildlife Photos My new 100-300L should give me a chance at capturing something smaller than an elephant. So I've added this section. A 300mm 5.6 lens isn't really adequate but that just adds to the challenge.
