People often wonder how I power the computer.  I bought a DC-AC inverter from a local Radio Shack called PortaWattz 300.  It provides 300 watts of power from a 12 volt car battery.  Since my cigarette lighter doesn't work, I've decided to cut the wire to it and use that to power the Portawattz 300.  I've also wired a rocker switch to the wire leading to the inverter so I can turn it on and off with ease.  The switch is also there because the inverter shorts out when you start the car, the temporary disruption of power is enough to trip the built in circuit breaker.
