The screen I bought is a 5.6" screen.  If you look on Ebay or Yahoo auctions, you can usually find LCD screens of this size.  If you want to mount this thing in your console, I suggest 7" MAX, anything bigger won't fit.  If you have a big American car, Van or SUV, you can probably find another place to mount a screen larger than 7".  I wanted a touch screen but unfortunately, they don't come that small.  Unless the video card you're using has a TV out or your LCD screen has a VGA Input, you're going to need a PC to TV converter.  They should run you about $80-$90 US, I bought mine at Fry's.  I know you're going to have another piece of equipment to deal with and you need to keep it somewhere that you can access it easily because you need to turn it on every time you start the car.  I mounted mine on the arm rest.  Unless your LCD screen can accept a VGA signal, you're not going to be able to fit the picture perfectly on the screen, I'm looking for a video card that has the built in TV out so that I can rid myself of that converter (it's not small)
