The mdf took the paint well. A semi gloss black and a gloss blue were used.  The front of the monitor was covered with a bezel cut from thin hardboard as well as a piece of Lucite-Tuf which is supposed to be 100 times stronger than glass.

A cooling fan was installed on the top rear of the cabinet to vent the heat from the monitor.  The ATX power supply was located at the bottom rear of the cabinet and a hole was cut for the PS fan and AC cord.

The computer runs AOS and an older version of mame. This setup allows the control panel to control game selection.  A mouse was kept to allow easier access to AOS menus but is not required for the operation of the cabinet.  It plays many of the vertical classics very well but would require a faster computer to play the newer vertical games.

Finishing

Text Box: The cooling fan was from an old computer PS and runs off of 12V from a disk drive power connector.

Screen shot showing AOS running vertically.  After the games were installed new screen shots were made with the F12 key to provide proper images for the snap directory. Irfanview was used to reduce the colors in some of the snaps so that they would display in AOS.
