RIVER KAYAKING
From a lake to Grade two river; you will learn basic strokes, safety skills, how to read moving water and how to move your boat around the currents and obstacles.
A GREAT CHANCE TO TRY OUT THE SPORT and feel the water splashing on your face when shooting the rapids.

River course is $180.00/person that includes all required equipment with sixteen hours of professional instruction:
Pool: Equipment review, wet exits, stroke preview, rescue techniques.
Lake: Forw/R stroke, sweeps, cold exit, river intro, boat edging.
Moving water:
Eddy turns, ferrying, safety
Whitewater:
Navigation, rapid negotiation.

ROLLING LESSONS
Be prepared for your next Kayak trip! Learn the Eskimo Roll in the comfort and safety of a warm indoor pool.
For. 3 people $ 90.00/evening.
Call for an appointment.

BASIC PLAYBOATING
For former students only, course will include improving your Eskimo Roll, basic concepts of edging control and balance and a few moves: pop ups, stern drops and bow stalls. $80.00 for one evening class.

 

KIDS KAYAK
This novel activity provides the opportunity of self discovery / education experience; learning the skill of independence. Topics will include basic paddling skills, boat safety plus we will play some kayaker games. Bring a change of clothes and for those under 110lbs please bring your own lifejacket.

TEEN RIVER KAYAK
Exams are now over! Time to kick back and to enjoy the independence and action of white water. This abbreviated course will take you through the basic stages strokes to shooting river rapids.
