Tea Biscuit Bread

Instructions:-
Preheat oven to 450ºF.
Make the basic Tea Biscuit dough. Spread onto a greased baking sheet to make a rectangle about 10x8-inches. Spread with 1 tablespoon soft butter or margarine.
Bake 10 minutes. Serve hot, broken in pieces or squares.

Variations;
1. Add 1/4 cup raisins, 2 tablespoons of sugar to the dough. Sprinkle top with a mixture of cinnamon and sugar.
2. Sprinkle top with garlic powder or garlic salt.
3. Add 1 tablespoon dried onion flakes to dough. Sprinkle top with poppy seeds.
4. Add 1 teaspoon caraway seeds to dough. Sprinkle top with salt and paprika.
5. Spread dough in a circle; bake, cut in wedges and serve.
6. After baking, spread top with 1/2 cup strawberry jam or other jam or jelly.
