Dutch St. Nicholas Cookies

The Dutch usually used fancy wooden moulds fro these cookies, now you can purchase fancy indented rolling pins that can be used with ease.Also the Dutch use a lot more spice than we in Canada usually prefer. Therefore this recipe is made with Canadian tastes in mind.

Instructions:-
Preheat oven to 350ºF.
Grease a baking sheet.

Mix together:-
2 cups Basic Baking Mix
2/3 cup lightly packed brown sugar
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
1/4 teaspoon ground ginger

Blend in;
1/2 cup melted butter.

Chill until firm enough to shape. Roll out 1/4-inch thick on lightly floured surface. (A rolling pin with attractive designs may be used). Cut into desired shapes.
Bake on prepared baking sheet in preheated oven for 10 to 12 minutes.
Makes 2 dozen cookies.
