Scottish Scones

The Scots shape scone dough into pie-shaped wedges and bake them in a griddle or frypan.

Instructions:-
Preheat oven to 400ºF.

Mix together:-
2 cups Basic Baking Mix
2 tablespoons sugar
1/2 cup milk
1/4 cup butter, melted
Stir with a fork to make a soft, slightly sticky dough.

If desired, mix in;
1/2 cup raisins

Turn onto a lightly floured surface and knead gently 8 to 10 times. Roll out into a circle, 1/2-inch thick. Cut into 6 pie-shaped wedges. Brush with milk ans sprinkle with sugar.

Bake on ungreased baking sheet in preheated oven for 15 to 18 minutes or until golden.
Makes 6 scones.
