Orange-Raisin Cake

Yield:- 8x8x2-Inch Square Cake
Ingredients:-

2 cups Basic Formula Mix (do not pack)
1 large orange
1/2 cup seedless raisins
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
2 eggs, well beaten
3/4 cup milk with 1 teaspoon vinegar (equals 3/4 cup buttermilk)
1/2 cup sugar (extra)

Directions:-
Wash and dry orange, squeeze juice and save it. Grind the orange rind and raisins (or chop fine).
Combine Mix, 1/2 cup sugar and soda; stir in thew orange rind and raisins.
Add eggs and milk mixture, mix thoroughly.
Turn into a square cake pan, which has been greased.
Bake at 350ºF about 30 minutes.
Combine orange juice and extra 1/2 cup sugar, stir to dissolve sugar. Pour over hot cake. Cool
