Mexican Wedding Cakes

These are rich, buttery cookies that Mexicans love to serve for dessert.

Instructions:-
Preheat oven to 325ºF.

Cream together;
1/2 cup butter
1/2 cup shortening
1/2 cup sifted icing sugar
1/2 teaspoon almond flavouring

Blend in;
3 cups Basic Baking Mix
1 cup finely chopped pecans

Chill dough, if necessary. Shape in 1-inch balls and place 2 inches apart on ungreased baking sheet. Flatten with bottom of tumbler, previously dipped in flour.

Bake in preheated oven for 10 to 12 minutes or until golden. Sprinkle with icing sugar.
Makes 4 to 5 dozen cookies.
