Corn Fritters

Yield:- about 9 fritters

Ingredients:-
3/4 cup basic Formula mix (do not pack)
1 egg, separated
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
2 tablespoons milk or liquid from corn
1 cup cooked, drained kernel corn
1/4 cup quick-cooking rolled oats

Directions:-
Beat egg white until stiff, but not dry.
In another bowl, beat egg yolk, stir in vanilla, milk, corn and rolled oats. Add the mix gradually. Stir to blend thoroughly.
Fold in beaten egg white.
Drop batter by tablespoon into a skillet containing aboput 1/4-inch hot melted shortening or oil.
Fry over low to medium heat until golden brown. Turn fritters, just once, to brown other side.
Serve hot with bacon or sausage and syrup.
Frying time about 7 minutes.
