Basic Short Pie Crust

Ingredients:-
1 cup Basic Baking Mix
1/4 cup butter or margarine
3 tablespoons boiling water

Method:-
Preheat oven to 450ºF.
Place Baking mix and butter in a bowl, combine. Add boiling water and stir vigorously with a fork until dough forms a ball and cleans the bowl. Dough will be puffy and soft.
With fingers and heel of hand, pat dough evenly into a 9-inch pie pan. Bring dough up to edge of pan. It may seem skimpy but will not be when baked.
Flute edges. Bake 8 to 10 minutes.

Note:- This makes a soft, rich, cooky-like crust. it is an excellent base for hightly flavoured foods. Use for pie shells, tarts and meat pies.
Flour your hands lightly, when spreading, to prevent dough from sticking to your fingers.
Pat dough out evenly to insure uniform browning.
