Technical Notes:
This image started as an experiment in trying to achieve heat distortions
within Bryce. This effect was created by placing a wavey terrain
between the camera and background objects with its material set to a non-reflective
glass with a refractive index of 103. The exact settings and size
of the ripples required extensive experimentation resulting in 15 test
renders! The trees and bush were created in Onyx
Tree Pro and some post-rendering colour correction and brightness adjustment
was done in Photoshop.
