Gotcha!
An all too familiar scene in the summer.
But who got who?
Technical Notes: This
is the second image of my "Entomological Disasters" series. The first
is "Go Toward The Light". I modeled
the mosquito in Rhino with touches
added with Bryce and Onyx Tree Pro.
The hair was created with Rhino (25
hairs used 3 to 4 times each). The skin is a terrain and the background
is a composite of a couple of photographs manipulated in Photoshop.
Some post-processing of the rendered image (depth-of-field effects and
small colour touch-ups) was also done with Photoshop. The scene is
not lit with the Bryce default sunlight, but with 3 parallel spotlights
each at slightly different angles and offset marginally from each other
to achieve the softened shadows.
