50% of these aborting
progestinal drugs do not stop it, only delay it
living embryo with CRL >5mm has a 90% chance of
survival, <5mm has a 70%
Abnormal yolk sac (>6mm)
thick wall, irregular wall, calcified
80% abort with small sac.
abnormal if no yolk sac seen with MDS > 20mm
Bradycardia 5-8wks < 85bpm
(reassess in 4d)
associated with 99% loss
Abnormal decidual reaction
thin < 2mm
low echogenicity
Abnormal gestational sac
irregular margin
flattened
if amnion seen without embryo then it is called
blighted
