TO - directory jumper/finder

TO.EXE is a highly efficient DOS based directory changer program, designed to QUICKLY change to a new drive/directory combination.  TO.EXE may be used from the DOS prompt or from a command prompt in any version of the Windows® operating system.  Usage under Windows® (ie. in a DOS "box"), however, does not support long filenames; they will appear as their DOS counterparts (eg. C:\DIR~1). Complete paths are stored for use, but display of paths is truncated to 77 characters; TO may have trouble with "deep" nested directory structure which exceeds DOS's limit.

Although TO.EXE is a DOS program, it is still useful in the Windows® environment when used from a Command Prompt box.  From a Command Prompt (after using TO to jump to a directory), the Windows® command

explorer .

will open the graphical Windows Explorer, already displaying the current folder or directory.  The current folder (found with TO) can be added to Explorer as a Favorite (for re-use), if desired.

Try TO.EXE!  TO allows you to quickly change directories or drives using a variety of methods (partial names, aliases, etc.).  TO works by first mapping directories to a directory list file (using the -s or scan switch), then using that file to change directories.  Features include

Example:
Invoke TO, look for "acadr12" AND "macro"
TO finds 24 matches, only 15 shown at once (use PageDn, or down arrow to view or select the rest).
