Timers library - track time on your calculator

If you or your crews use the HP48® G series of handheld calculators and you need to keep close track of your time on the job, then the TIMERS library is for you. The library can pay for itself quickly by recovering lost time on the job! It is especially useful if different charge-out rates apply for various parts of the job.

The Problem Survey crews are often present on multiple sites per day - each site with its own unique problems. Although they may appreciate the need for accurate time keeping, often the pressures of the onsite survey inhibit their attentiveness to such details. The home office, on the other hand, requires that accurate records are kept; complete billing depends on it! Time is money!
The Solution The Timers library described here will greatly simplify the time keeping process. It is not necessary that the crew fill out complicated time records after each job - the library allows the party chief to quickly track and total all time related to the job using "elapsed time" timers. At the end of each day, the activity log can be downloaded to a computer for a complete record of the day. All that is necessary is that the party chief push the buttons.

The TIMERS library is a small, but efficient program library for the Hewlett-Packard G series of handheld calculators. The G series includes

The library's function is to clock, record and manage time spent on jobs. It accomplishes this by means of concurrent timers and an activity log. Features of the TIMERS library include

A quick status screen, available from the LIBRARY menu, informs at a glance of running timers, etc., without having to access the TIMER or LOG menus.

The optional integrated automatic logging of timers allows for preservation of the work record for later (even days later!) use.
