Dylan, named after Bob Dylan, was our first Cavalier. He is a high spirited dog with a happy, outgoing disposition. He likes to chase birds and squirrels whenever he gets the chance. In his spare time, he likes to watch television, but unfortunately, he also likes to bark at any animals that appear on the screen.
Dylan finished his Canadian Championship in September 2004 and won an Award of Merit at the Midwest Regional Specialty, held July 2005, here in Thunder Bay. He has also earned several titles in both Rally and Agility. He scored High in Trial at our local CARO Rally trial in April, 2009. We are currently working towards his CD as well as additional Rally and Agility titles.

When one Cavalier just wasn’t enough, Brady came to join us. My husband has nicknamed him Thumper, because his constantly wagging tail is usually banging loudly against anything nearby. When he isn’t snuggling with someone on the couch, Brady loves to sit in our bow window and watch the world go by. Outside, he is often found nose to the ground, investigating all the intriguing scents.
Brady completed his Championship in February 2006, winning Best of Breed plus Group placements all three days. Many thanks to Tanice Berst-Hindle of Djanet Cavaliers who showed him that weekend. Always eager to please, Brady has also done extremely well in performance venues, often earning high in class scores. He has his CD plus numerous titles in Rally and Agility.

At last we have our female. Layla , like the song, is the quiet one in our little group. She rarely barks, except at the cat or if very excited about going outside. The way she bounces around the yard you would think she was part kangaroo. She is a sweet, affectionate girl, who loves to meet people and other dogs.
Layla has six points toward her CKC Championship, including two 2 point majors. She also goes to classes in obedience and agility and we hope to begin trialing later this year. For now, those plans are on hold as Layla is expecting her first litter of puppies, due to arrive around February 23, 2010.
