ABOUT US
My name is Leslie Diana. I live in Thunder Bay, where my husband Guy and I happily share our home and our lives with three delightful Cavalier King Charles Spaniels and Zoe, our calico cat.
From the time I was a child, I have always loved animals. During the time we were raising our three children, we had a variety of pets, which included a few very special dogs.
Once the kids were older, I found the timing was right to pursue my interest in dog training and showing. Over the years I had done a good deal of researching various breeds and found I was consistently drawn to the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. I loved the look of the breed plus the size and temperament seemed to be the perfect fit for our family.
During our search for a Cavalier breeder we were very fortunate to find Barbara Bond of Revelry Cavalier King Charles Spaniels. She has provided us with our three wonderful dogs as well as becoming both a mentor and good friend.
Over the past several years, the dogs and I have enjoyed a great deal of time participating in various training classes, dog shows and trials in Rally, Agility and Obedience. We even took in a few seminars in tracking and canine freestyle. I find that I really enjoy the performance events, especially Agility. I am also a member of the Canadian Kennel Club and The Cavalier King Charles Spaniel Club of Canada.
OUR NAME
I chose the name Arianrhod because I wanted something unique and thought it might be nice to have a Gaelic or Celtic name to symbolize both the dogs’ and my own British heritage. Credit must be given to Barbara Bond for coming up with this one.
ARIANRHOD was the “Celtic goddess of the full moon” and DIANA, my last name, was the “Roman moon goddess”. ARIANRHOD was the “mother of DYLAN, god of the sea” (also the name of our first Cavalier).
