Parks Naturalist: BC Conservation Foundation (BCCF)

  • Created and implemented numerous day programs, interpretive hikes, and educational amphitheatre programs for all ages!
      • Programs include - How to be a Hoary Marmot; Animal Clues, Tracks & Signs; Web of Life; Survivor Manning; The Corvid Family; Warp Speed Tour of Manning Park; Manning's Forests; and various Wild Flower Walks.
  • Extensive public speaking experience. Comfortable speaking and performing in front of large crowds.
  • Gained in-depth knowledge of natural history through over two months of extensive training.
  • Received excellent feedback and affirmations from visitors both in person and on government comment cards.
  • Composed project reviews
      • Created Manning Parks Interpretation Evaluation Report presented to BC Conservation Foundation and various government officials.
  • Implement a "Guide on the side" approach to Naturalist programming.
      • Through games and creative, hands-on activities, participants learn through their own experience.
      • Geared programming to people of all ages.
      • Most importantly, ensured activities were both fun and educational!
