Banff Region

There are many places to dive within the Banff National Parks area which is located on the western edge of Alberta, this area can be reached by travelling East on Highway #1 from Calgary or going south from Jasper on the Icefields Parkway (highway #93).

There are many outdoor activities within this park including hiking, fishing, mountain biking and diving

*All sites should be considered as altitude dives*

These are some of the best sites to dive in the Banff Parks area:

  1. Lake Minnewanka Dam: old submerged dam remains!
  2. Lake Minnewanka Cliffs: steep underwater cliffs!
  3. Lake Minnewanka River Inlet: fast current and lots of trout!
  4. Lake Minnewanka Landing: deep wreck dive, site of old bridge leading to old townsite!
