join Andrea to discover and to develop your belly dance talents.
This summer, we will examine Middle Eastern rhythms, focusing
on one rhythm per week. We will use drums, tambourines, hand-clapping,
and finger cymbals to learn rhythms by playing them. We will
also learn steps appropriate for each rhythm. This class is
for women of all ages and fitness levels and covers basic movements
of oriental dance, focusing on proper posture and alignment
to avoid injury. This class does count as a workout, so bring
a water bottle. Beginners welcome!
This
class has an upper limit of 10 students to allow for greater
individual attention.
