A song in the rain
To drown your pain
And carry away the day

Laughing fools and crying saints
Angels with their sunset paints
Colors that fade away

Running from the fear
Remorse in a tear
The darkness fades in time
When nothing is clear

The clouds will appear
As reality becomes sublime
When the want becomes the need
Your soul begins to bleed

No comfort can be found
Planted like seeds
All your dirty deeds

Seem to come back around
A song in the rain
To drown your pain
And carry away the day

I BOW THE KNEE

You died the death that I may live eternally
Incredible sacrifice
You became man – so I a child of God could be
Incredible humility
You became sin for me – from sin I was set free
Incredible, dear price
With honor, thanksgiving and praise
I BOW MY KNEE
It's all I know to do to honor You
Who has given your all for me

And that's not all!
You guard my steps so I do not fall
Staying power, strength for each hour
Love, guidance, and from care set free
I BOW THE KNEE

And that's not all!
Someday I will hear Your sweet call
Come on home, your mansion is ready
And it's supper time!

And that's not all!
When I look into Your face – the ultimate reality
I will be like You immediately

And that's not all!
Year after glorious year around the throne
I'LL BOW MY KNEE!

MAYBE YOU SHOULD GET MARRIED

If you've been to Alabama, come back
with faded magnolias, songs of hummingbirds--
you are missing something in snowtown.
Your apartment needs cleaning,
there are no eggs for breakfast.
Your friends have no connections to obligations,
they have multitudes of dirty socks
and empty beer bottles near the bathtub.
It's Wednesday, there is a dent
in your pocket, your billfold cries.
It's been three weeks since
your bed's been shared,
your supply of wine and candles
has flooded your closet.
Perhaps you should get married,
it might be easier. The garbage
wouldn't drive away your friends,
your underwear would be clean,
but you would be obligated.
What a concept.

LIFE

Life can be cruel at times, it just depends on how you deal with the feelings and emotions. Plus if you allow God in your life, you can find that you can accomplish whatever you decide to and He will help your through all situations.

Life can be happy and full of love and grace, we just have to look for it.

Life can be joyful, again it depends on where you look and if you decide to accept it.

Life can be sad, when you lose a friend, a partner or a family member. You have to remember they loved you and you truly loved them. They wouldn't want you to cry and stop living, they would want you to carry on and find happiness wherever you go.

So life is what you make of it. It can be sad or happy, your tears can flow or you can put on a smile. When you need a hug just ask someone, you aren't the only one who needs hugs.

So let yourselves feel the emotions you need to during your time here. Just remember you choose what emotional state you will live in. You can always find someone else worse off. SO be happy and share your smiles.

MY DEAREST FRIEND

You gave me rainbows, and rivers serene.
You gave me raindrops, that fall from the sky.
With all of these things, I ask myself why.
Is the heavens so gray, and the days so long.
There must be something that is going so wrong.

There has to be something, that I can do.
To make my days from feeling so blue.
I must open up my heart, and let you back in.
Thank you God for being my friend.
You have lifted me up Dear Lord, that I may see.
That there are better days ahead for me.

POETRY ~ LANGUAGE OF THE SOUL

What instrument has God chosen to show you who I am
He picked for me a modest tool a simple little pen
And on a pale white paper I bare my soul to you
Revealing deep held secrets that only He once knew
You now hold the knowledge of the me I held inside
And He has given you a place to keep it where you abide
So will you open wide your heart and let me come in too?
Yet there is another choice you know, it's up to you to choose.

Wonderful Quotes (thanks Pam)

It is my sincere wish that at the end of my life when I stand before God I will be able to say.  “I have not one ounce of talent left in me Lord.  I've used everything you gave me.”

HAVE SOME FUN!
[An Autobiography]

Life starts off slow, at least it did for me,
My first recollection was at about three,
I learned to whistle at I guess about nine,
I about drove my parents out of their mind,

I learned how to swim and play some ball,
Had a basket hung up at both ends of the hall.
My brothers and I, we sure had lots of fun,
But then all of a sudden I was twenty one.

My country called and said "I need you son".
You can go back home after this war is won.
Then I learned about love, found me a good wife,
We had two children that was the joy of our life.

I found a good job and the pay was real good,
Not much time with my family but they understood.
Then the kids were all grown and off on their own,
They'd come and see us and quite often phone,

Now the sands in the glass of time are running thin,
Would I do things different if I could do it again?
Probably play more golf, find more time to bait a hook,
I'd sure learn more about what's in the Lords Book!

There is a time to be born and a time to die,
A time for laughter and a time to cry.
The "Book" also says, "Slow down-No need to run",
In between the born and the dying: "HAVE SOME FUN'.

MY DADDY

To those who knew my Daddy,
To those who saw his smile,
To those who had a chance to sit and talk with him awhile..
Did you know he loved you? I know this is true!
He was such a special man, but then I'm sure you knew.

Daddy lives in Heaven now, that's a real sure bet!
Perhaps he's seen his Daddy, who died before they met.
He's with his other family, those who went before..
His Mom, his grandson Brian, and many many more.
Now they're all waiting just for us, there at Heavens door.

Dedicated to the memory of my Daddy, Buddy Green who went home Feb 28, 2003.

HEAVEN BOUND

Hearts are breaking and tears are falling
Listen closely for the Lord is calling
The stories to tell and the memories we share
With prayers lifting to show that we care
We will miss her dearly and oh so much
The way she could help us with a single touch
We can never forget her words she said for they were with reason
With time turning to another season
From spring to fall
To our hearts she'd call
We stand here today hand in hand
Now to our feet is where we land
We are saying goodbye to this Mother, Wife, Grandma, Sister, and friend
She stood strong until the end
Tears fill the eyes of loved ones dear
But remember she will always be near
We love her so even though she is now gone
With heads bowed we say so long
Cherish her memories that's something to last
Don't ever forget she is part of the past
Tomorrow brings the future, Be silent today for it is the present.

To live in the sky
To ride to the top of this mountain high
Tears are the falling
The Lord was calling
To bring her home Heaven bond.
So I close with this
We rest her soul at peace and sudden sleep
For her loving God to keep

I love u more than the stars exists,
the deepness of my love is more the pacific.
I remember ur smile, ur clinquant eyes,
i clearly remember the day when i kissed u first time.
I cry for u, I care for u,
jaan i can do anything for u.
Certainly u r my angel,
coz i love u more than anyone can do.
'm sorry what i did to u,
'm regreting each n every word i said against u.
Jaan please don't get upset from me,
coz 'can't imagine me without u.
I promise 'll be sweet more than any milky bar is,
As i remember the chocovanella i used to give
'm feeling like an idiot,
as 'm on a verge of lossing the precious gift,
I'll love u more than anyone can give
It's hard to breathe, it feels like floating,
full of love my heart's exploading, and
finally, I came to know how it feels
Falling In Love with U.

THANK YOU MY FRIEND

What a joy it was to be your friend,
How amazing you were to the very end.

Always smiling & laughter with hope in your heart,
Knowing that soon you had to depart

A wonderful Mother and dedicated wife,
Time for your friends and happy with life.

Precious memories you left us so we'll stop asking why.
We'll treasure them forever as we now say goodby.

Be at rest my friend, with peace in your heart.
For someday we'll meet you and never depart

WHOSE BIRTHDAY IS CHRISTMAS?

My home is like a wonderland; it glistens everywhere.
The Frazer fir tree’s ornaments were placed there with great care.
The wood fire sparkles brightly from the logs just newly turned,
The screen was placed securely so the children won’t get burned.

Bright wreaths are placed upon the walls where pictures once had been
Our home has not looked this good since I can’t remember when.
The centerpiece with flowers and with candles burning bright
Lends just a touch of elegance to everything tonight.

A table holds the Santas that I’d painted long ago.
One sled I painted of a boy while trudging through the snow.
I’d painted wooden eggs that showed a happy Santa face;
One piece showed Mrs. Santa all dolled up in pretty lace.

The gifts were placed around the tree; the toys were packed inside.
There’re trucks for boys and for a girl, a doll dressed like a bride.
Each box was topped with bows and ribbons, quite a sight to see.
As Johnny looked them over, asking, “Is this one for me?”

But suddenly I looked around, and something seemed to say,
“You’re having quite a party! Is this special in some way?”
I hung my head in shame for what I saw just gave me pause.
It seemed my house was saying, “Happy Birthday, Santa Claus!”

The manger scene is coming out, the angels and the rest.
We’ll celebrate this Christmas in the way we know is best!
The carols we’ll be singing, “Hark, the Herald Angels Sing!”
We’ll have a birthday party, “Glory to the Newborn King.”

My Mother has died and my dad is now gone too.
My world would be empty if i didn't have you.

only God knows when it's our time to die.

WAR!!

Our Men,
Our Soldiers,
They fight each day to keep the PEACE.
They fight each week to keep us FREE.
They fight each year to keep our NAME.
While we sit back to eat and sleep.
We watch them FIGHT,
We watch them DIE,
We watch them FALL,
We watch them CRY,
but all we do is;
sit and hope they all come back ALIVE.

CREATION

Our God has given twinkling stars
and nearby planets, Venus, Mars,
plus all the others that at night
present a truly wondrous sight.
And far beyond our solar world
are countless galaxies unfurled
in silence, as our setting sun
has for the day its full course run.
‘Tis then that life is most sublime
for heav'n and earth do meld in time
and nature/creature seem most one
with God Almighty and His Son.
For all of this and much, much more,
we thank the LORD whom we adore.

Lift up your eyes on high, and behold
who hath created these things . Isaiah 40:26a

ANYWHERE YOU ARE

I thought my heart was somewhere else
Where the wind blows through the trees
Where mountains meet the clear blue sky
Where rivers meet the seas.

I longed for peaceful meadows green
With fields of yellow flowers
Sparkling snow high above
Below, gentle showers.

I dreamed of someplace far away
Where only beauty could I see
But I found my heart was where You are
I found you on my knees.

My home is anywhere You are
Your beauty is right here
Your perfect love surrounds my heart
And drives away all fear.

If I could travel to the ends of earth
Or fly up to touch the stars
I could never find a more beautiful place
Than anywhere You are.

It seems like yesterday, i was a child.
And today i'm a man.
I ask myself  what is my plan.

The time is flying and the years past by.
I wish i knew my plan before i die.

Enjoy every minute of your life, the clock is ticking.
before you know it the heart stops ticking.

TODAY

It's today that really counts,
You cannot change the past
But if you lived each moment
As if it were your last

Your happiness would overflow
Affect each one you meet!
Whether on the sidewalk
Or on a busy street!

So, keep on smiling
And, you'll find
Your whole world
Getting better

It's the law & cannot fail
God has given you the power
Enjoy each single minute
And every single hour!
