FAMILY
Do you remember how it used to be?
When you were younger with the family.
At home with siblings, mom and dad,
You stayed close then, that was the fad,
When you grew older with family of your own,
Still staying close was always number one.
But, today with all the modern technology
Family isn't quite the way it used to be.
The world problems are occurring more & more
Columbine, Oklahoma, 9-11, We hear it at every door.
If we could all realize through & through
Family should stick close together like glue.
Through it all, we hear the word
Family is our sweet gift, from our precious LORD.

I THANK GOD
I am so thankful to God in Heaven above,
for all His blessings and for all His love.
For I know I am nothing without Him,
And I know He's my one and only true best friend!
For He's always there for me in my time of need,
And He hears my every Prayer and my every plead.
He's such a good God, for look what He has done,
For He sent all of us His only Son!
I know God is with me everywhere I go,
And He is with me in everything I do,
Oh Dear God, I give all the glory and praises to you!
Theres no way to ever thank Him enough,
For His wonderful grace and precious beauty of love.
They nailed "Jesus"to the cross and then He died,
And it makes my heart ache and makes me cry.
Knowing He did this for you and for me,
He loves us so much that He died at calvary!
I give all the praises, all the thanks and glory to Him,
For He is truly the love of my life and my best friend!

IF TRUE LOVE WERE MINE!
If true love were mine, the sun would shine
The roses would send out their scent~
Sweet soft words would flood my lips, and they would be sincerely meant...
I would be embraced by a lovely mist, and I would never, ever be sad,
All I would know would be beauty and I would have never had heard the word bad!
My days would be filled with sunshine, my eyes would never hold a tear~
I arms would always hold tender dreams, for Happiness would be here...
My oceans would be filled with the softest, sweetest water, not of the taste of brine,
Oh, how wonderful life would be, if only love were mine!
Did love depart from my life, because of my increasing unworthiness~
Did the absence of love clear out a room in my heart for all this lonliness...
My dreams would be forever of all that is beautiful and surely fine,
And I would know nothing less than bliss if only love were mine!
But age came on me like a scourge, and made ugly and repulsive my face~
And when love glances my way, it hurries away as if in a race...
And it is for sure and it is true, that I will never entertain the divine,
And know the wonderment of lovely things if only love was mine!
And all that ever meant anything to me has fled with a mighty leap~
And the shards and pieces are here in front of me in the saddest heap...
No roses for the ugly, they will not grow on hatred's vine,
And I will forever be here and dream of how lovely all could be if only love were mine!

FOR LUCIA
They say that angels from above come down to cleanse the sad. To hold them in their loving
arms, through faith she makes them glad, I waited long and prayed to ease the emptiness I've had.
But could it be the future sees a lonely desperate lad.
And when I least expected love she came to comfort me. Through all my years of darkened nights
a blind man now could see. I will not judge or ask her why this angel's chosen me, I simply pray to
my dear God he lets my angel be.

I KNEW A MAN
I knew a man
A man of strength and purpose
and love without bounds,
Who would give of himself
Strength and love,
and ask nothing in return.
The more he gave,
the more he had to give-
like the story of the loaves and fishes,
there was always more than enough to go around.
You see, he lived his life in God
and so had a bottomless well
of love to draw on.
And like that endless spring
he gave to anyone that thirsted.
I knew a man
Who was as strong as the oak
I see outside my window.
And like that oak,
He showed the scars of life,
they made him stronger,
more forgiving of others' weakness.
Like that oak, he was deeply rooted
in the earth of his rock-solid belief in God.
I knew a man
who loved me for me.
Just because I loved him.
He gave patience, caring, and support.
I knew he was always there,
and knowing gave me comfort.
He listened, quietly,
Helped when he could
and was just there.
I knew a man
Who is gone.
He touched so many lives.
We are all much poorer for his going,
but heaven is so much richer to look forward to.
I knew a man,
I will know him again.
He will never leave my heart.

A TEENAGE CRY
She holds a secret deep within that tears her world apart
She cries for help in her own way, to heal her broken heart.
She wants to tell them what is wrong, that her secret is too much to bear,
But she doesn't know if it's safe to tell. Will they blame or will they care ?
She goes to school but hates it all, she'd rather stay at home
To sit in her room and cry her tears, she feels so all alone.
Her family moved but she stayed behind, she wasn't happy there.
She misses them and loves them still but she's drowning in despair.
She wants to die and cries for help, but her cries go all unheard
And silent tears roll down her face, her mind becomes a blur.
But there's someone there who wants to help, to listen to her fears.
To take her hand and hold her close, to gently dry her tears.
Come to me, please trust me now, I'll listen and give you time.
I'll tell no other what you've said, the secret is yours and mine.

MY FATHER
Father I come to you
To let you know how much I love you
You are my sanctuary, my creator and my deliver
I come to you with a open heart
To let you know how I fill
Please except all I have to offer you
For all I have to offer you
For all I have is myself
You came to me as King of Kings
Then you gave yourself as a ramson for me
You took my sins upon a cross
There you took my shame and forgave me
Then you told me I am free
To go my way and sin no more
I cried that moment you told me this
I knew you meant it, because of your tears I saw
You looked at me and said you are my child
How can I not love you and forgive you
You told me someday I would be with you
In that gloious place you call heaven
So I closed my eyes, folded my hands and I said,
Father I love you with all my heart and I give my life
to you. I thank you for your forgiveness so please let
me be a light for you. Let me guide a friend to you
and that will fill the way I do. Lord I pray that they will
come to you and they are set free to. Amen

FLORAL BEAUTY
Flowers are very special
Beauty from God above
To give our hearts a picture
of his everlasting love
But then again he knew deep down
There would be times to heed
Therefore amongst the beauty
He planted the ill-sighted weed
Oh we can have our beauty
But he gave us a choice indeed
"I give you beauty for your heart
But you must control the weed"

TOO BUSY FOR GOD
We need some people to take a stand,
But we're to busy thinking of the hottest band.
We have great men of God who come and preach out of the greatest book,
But we're so busy daydreaming that we don't even look.
Our teachers work all day and pray all night,
But we're to busy playing in sin so we don't get right.
With Jesus we need to fall in love,
And strive to please our Heavenly Farther above.
Has our school forgotten about the Lord?
We need some people fighting for the Word.
Who will decide to take a stand?
Who will decide to take the Lord's hand?
I may give up popularity, fame, or friends,
But i promise to stand until the end.
We need to raise our standard high,
And let the Lord be our constant guide.
Will I stand alone, or will you join me?
Our rewards will last through eternity.

A THOUGHT OF LOVE AND LOVING
Over the centuries much has been written
Of how love should be handled and such
I have many examples and experience, shown to me.
Tales of valiant warriors, women who loved too much.
Some of us like to hide away from it.
Many watch for it and put it on the run.
I have watched those, throughout my life
Who have seen it as their day in the sun.
Some speak of love as an illusion
Saying, nothing as it seems to be.
Other say love is a banner
To be held up high valiantly.
Children say love is Grandma's cookies
Teenagers say it's the latest teen dream.
Anyone who's been on a diet for weeks
Knows it's a dish of chocolate ice cream.
For me the way I found true love
Was to do as my Grandfather told to me.
Share your love, give it to all around you.
True loves the only thing in this world that is free.
For true loving, has no attachment
To outcome. Or a measure of ones destiny
It's the essence of God opening within us
Touching our hearts and letting us be free.
I have loved many times on this life journey
For me some good, while sadly, others were taken away.
But when I look in the eyes of ones that I love,
I know that God came to bless me this day.

MELODY ON A DOVE'S WING
Tenderness supplies the melodies
That moves a heart to tears;
As their notes are being arranged,
God is always near.
Beautiful melodies inspired by God,
Labour of His love;
Notes gently dancing upon the wings,
Of this great white Dove.
Ambience of music
As the Dove glides through the air;
Looking for those to share His notes,
And together a song they'll prepare.
Watch and listen for this Dove
With His musical wings;
Surely He is flying your way
Tender melodies for you, He brings.
