CRUSHED!
She feels her breath has been taken away,
For she's speechless and don't know what to say!
She writes this poem straight from her heart,
For her soul feels like its been ripped apart!
Her soul feels so empty down deep within,
She does not think her heart will ever mend.
She doesn't know if her heart will get over this,
For she feels nothing but true Hurtful Bliss!
She just can't understand why you went away,
And she thought real love would never fade.
The love for you she has is very real,
Now her heart is crushed, and she don't know how to feel
She can't eat, sleep nor rest,
For her heart and soul is a total mess!
She says she loves you now and forever,
Although she knows now you' ll never be together!

If you light yourself a candle
A story to you it will tell
A story old - not ever new
A story you know well
The flame will waiver gently
Soaring high or drifting low
Its movement starts to vary
As the air beings to flow
Upward reaches out the flame
Depicting the highs in your life
Ebbing every now and again
Depicting occasional strife
The candle flames your yesterdays
Reminisce what you've been delt
Memories there to live again
As you watch that candle melt
For those times you feel unhappy
For the times you heave a sigh
Sit down and light that candle
Reminisce when the flame is high

I SAW YOU TODAY
I awoke to the most breathtaking sunrise.
i saw the most beautiful flower today.
saw a mother lovingly caress her small child.
a young boy, helping a little elderly woman cross the street.
strangers greeting strangers, with hello! how are you today?
children of different races playing together.
folks feeding the hungry.
people showing respect for one another, in spite of their differences.
and at the days end, the most beautiful sunset.
Jesus! today, i saw you.

WHO IS THIS MAN?
Who is this Man who walked on Water
Who is this Man who calmed the Sea
Who is this Man that shed His Precious Blood
and died on a Cross on Calvary for me.
Who is this Man that can bring light out of darkness
Who is this Man who can calm all my fears
Who is this Man that can give Faith, Hope and Courage
Who is this Man who can save me.
This Man is the one who knew me before time began.
This Man is the Man who says take courage, Hold My Hand, have no Fear.
This Man is the King Eternal, the Beginning and the End, The Alpha and
Omega, Your Loving Trusting Friend.

LOVE
All my life I’ve looked for love,
I’ve begged and pleaded with GOD above
To send me some so I could see
With love’s help, what I could be.
Then one day a shaft of light
Appeared to me so pure and bright.
In the middle of this an angel stood
He spoke to me, as I knew he would.
He said that GOD had heard my plea
And held out his hand so that I could see,
Eight pounds of love so shining white
I had to shield my eyes from it’s light.
His words were soft and clear as a bell
"Take this love and use it well".
So I took the love he offered me
And then the Angel ceased to be.
The love jumped up and kissed my face,
It licked my hand and took it’s place
Which as at my side through tears of strife
And many times love saved my life.
For a lot of years I held it close.
Then it happened, what I feared most.
On the 19th of May in ‘92 my love died
That is the day I cried and cried.
I held love close as it went home
And left me here all alone.
Then I looked up and all around
And you’ll never guess what I found?
Deep in the heart of my sweet wife
Love had found another life.

No matter who you are, no matter what you've done,
The Grace of God will cover you,
where your obedience has begun.
Just yield yourself to him, fully in surrender,
He'll meet you in a field of grace, your past no longer remembered.
It only takes your humble heart, it only takes your pleads,
Ask our savior to come in, ask him on your knees.
Then listen close and you will hear, the answers that you seek,
That "still small voice", or he'll show you through the persons who are meek.
Open eyes and open heart is all he ever asks,
Tell the Lord your ready, Give you His chosen task.
Accept the role he's given you and do not turn away,
He's knocking on your hearts door, Answer him today.
It only takes your humble heart, it only takes your pleads
Ask our savior to come in, ask him on your knees.
Then listen close and you will hear, the answers that you seek,
"That still small voice" or he'll show you through the persons who are meek.

THE LITTLE DOVE
The little dove has never taken flight.
He held her in his hand and told her to be free
Her wings were no longer clipped.
He held her high and told her not to be scared,
Her heart was strong enough.
He held her close and told her he would always be there,
Her mind was cleared.
He held her out to the heavens and told her to fly with the angels,
Her feet let go.
The little dove was finally soaring through the sky.

MR. DAD
I call you - "mister"
Why? Because, to me,
you've been nothing, but,
a great, BIG, "mys-ter-y" !
You never were around
when I needed you to play.
You have never heard me,
when I knelt down to pray.
Now that I'm getting older,
You want to come around,
You want to be called, "DAD"
Now, just how does that sound?
You say: "You're my Dad"
Am I to give you glory?
YOU, who never held me,
or told me a bedtime story?
You never saw MY Mom
struggle through life so hard;
nursing me through each illness
not even sending a card.
You never even were around
when I was lonesome and sad.
Now you have the nerve,
to want ME, to call you -
"DAD" ---- MISTER!

UNSPOKEN
Transparent loveliness indwells
That Fountainhead,
Whose rainbow’d swell
Bursts whitely
Within the embryonic heart
Of each one Spirit-made!
Tender shoots of obedience
Press their way upward
Through faults in stone;
Channels follow;
Life-water spills forth
To green and bless
The thirsty desert-dwellers.
This is His love,
Shed abroad in silent witness..
Echoing deeply,
More profoundly
Than the spoken
Word.

NEVER FORGOTTEN
As I sit and think of all the love that you gave me I never knew that you would die so soon. I didn't even get a chance to say goodbye to a friend like you, I can't believe that this is so true. You were like a grandmother to me, but knowing you're leaving me that's something hard to see. When I was down, feeling sad and blue there was something about you that always made me smile. So, now that you're going to that special land you will be sadly missed by your family and friends, but you will never be forgotten.

LOVE (a sonnet)
When Thou art gone, shall I remember thee?
When the moon shines bright, shall I think of thine face?
Thou art blind, and lack knowledge of me.
Thou ignorance makes me pace.
Thou goest where I do not know.
Thou be'st cruel when they eyes neglect me.
When I am near, what hast Thou but a place to go?
What am I but a mere pawn to thee?
Thou fills my heart with incertitude in fear of thy rejection.
My soul percieves disarray in ye.
And my mind buzzes aimlessly of thy intention.
For my heart and mine eyes never quite seem to agree.
Along with your absence my heart and Thou will stay together,
for my love for Thou will last forever.

THE WORD
Your blood make ink. Write down, record
The death camp's most important word:
Survive.
Though death is looking in your eye
Pay heed to the command that CRIES:
Survive.
Though work and hunger make you numb
And lice do eat you; Capos beat you,
don't succumb:
Survive.
For you who walks the night through Hell
Must be the witness who will tell...
Survive.
And as the living numbers fall
You will be speaking for us all
Survive
Don't ask me how. I don't know why
I only know you must not die
Survive.
