Sherman--a
FANTASTIC chronicle of the band from the pre-KISS years up to the 1996
reunion. I couldn't put it down! Great rare pics, interviews, and
little-known facts and KISStory.
by
Dale Sherman--the companion-piece to Black Diamond; chronicles all of the
bootlegs, albums, interviews, TV/movie appearances, etc. that are available
out there. Great book with comprehensive researching.
Lendt--(read
my detailed review of the book here) mostly
hearsay rather than proven fact, but an interesting read nonetheless.
Lendt saw KISS from the inside through their heyday in the '70's, to '88.
G.G.
Gebert and Bob McAdams--a controversial tell-all from two former friends
of Ace Frehley. The mud is really slung here and Gebert and McAdams
spare no details on the erractic (and often dangerous) behavior of Ace.
Again, one must take each "fact" with a grain of salt as the dissolution
of friendships often brings out the worst in people who opt to pen a vengeful
tale. Still, KISS & Tell provides the reader with an interesting
spin on the colorful Ace Frehley and the behind-the-scenes antics from
Ace's childhood through the period of the MTV Unplugged special in 1995.
