Rules for the New Commonwealth RP
- Comply with IMC's Rules and Terms of Service - no exceptions. Players in the Commonwealth are expected to read IMC's info area and be aware of IMC's requirements. This covers the 'no godmoding' (it's disrespectful and disruptive), 'no flaming' (again), and so on stuff you may be familiar with on other RP pages.
Part of the theme of "Andromeda" is that we can choose to elevate ourselves, to ascend, from the Long Night. In support of this theme, the New Systems Commonwealth RP room is going to start out in trust that our players are capable of common courtesy and common sense.
- Image sizes must likewise comply with IMC's requirements. They may not be more than 50k, though their dimensions are open for common sense interpretation. If your image causes a scroll bar or causes someone to remark that it is large, you will be expected to take it down, then resize it. When you resize it, give it a new name or it will still appear large to the other users due to being stored in their computer cache. Animated images are strictly prohibited.
- If you would not see it on the TV show "Andromeda", you will not see it in the room - IC or OOC. Anyone violating this rule will be fed to a swarm of hungry, newly orphaned Magog larvae. Our rating is 12 because the show is rated at approximately 12. This means that even if Beka threatens to kick Dylan's @$$, her player will not be using that word left and right.
Note the use of symbols; while certain words are still prohibited in the setting (if you won't see it on the show, it's not available for use) there are some words that are used sparingly on the show. To use them in PR Commonwealth, appropriate symbol substitutes should be made.
Crossover characters are not permitted. This means that Rommie's crew is not going to encounter Planeswalkers, Jedi Knights and the like. IMC has several excellent rooms for such RP. The New Systems Commonwealth is not one of those rooms.
If the rules are broken, here's what you can expect to have happen.
- Strike one: Warning, public or private, with a possible email documentation as well.
- Strike two: Suspension from the room, length to be determined by the offense and the offender's reactions.
- Strike three: You're out. The suspension will be permanent, or at least very very long.
If you've been disciplined and think it was unjust, you can appeal to the site administrators Conflict Mediation and Damage Control group, but be prepared. Provide all documentation, be courteous, and be patient. The CM&DC department can sometimes be very busy. They do not deliberately blow people off, though.
