The Westboro Baptist Church ("WBC") is located in Topeka, Kansas (US). Controversial protests held by church members have attracted considerable media attention over the past few years - a situation that, in turn, has generated a lot of public curiosity about the WBC and its pastor.

By contract with Stauffer Communications, reporter Jon Michael Bell wrote a book that purports to document how Fred Phelps raised his children and founded his church. This book entered the public domain in 1994, when the text of it was presented as an exhibit in a copyright lawsuit.

This site exists for two reasons:

• To host copies of Jon Michael Bell's book, Addicted To Hate: The Fred Phelps Story.
• To provide information about the members and operation of WBC.
