The former That '70s Show star has actually taken a swipe at Jennifer Lopez's new 24-year-old boyfriend, Casper Smart.

Not to his face mind you, but on—what else?—Twitter.

"Whoa!," Masterson tweeted to his 1.4 million followers over the weekend. "When did JLo start dating vanilla ice?"

The diss (at least we don't think it was meant as a compliment) was accompanied by a shirtless shot of Smart wearing a baseball cap and black sunglasses taken during his and Lopez's Thanksgiving vacation in Hawaii.

When one of Smart's followers asked if he saw Masterson's tweet, he replied he had, tweeting about the pic, "In the sun, but still pale...LOL."

Good to know the guy has a sense of humor, but fingers crossed Lopez tweets about Masterson's new wife, actress Bijou Phillips.

Wouldn't that be meowful!

E! reports that Lopez and Smart's relationship is progressing quickly, as evidenced by the holiday trip.

"It's pretty serious," a source told E! "They're together a lot. [Jennifer has] never been happier."

The source adds that Smart isn't simply using Lopez for her fame, fortune and hot body. "He's not asking Jennifer to buy him this or that," the source says. "He's courting her, like sending her flowers. I think his intentions are in the right place."

But Smart isn't all knight in shining armor, sweeping Lopez off her feet after her split from husband of seven years, Marc Anthony. Smart, whose full name is Beau Paul Smart, has had several run-ins with the law in recent years.

People reports that Smart pleaded "no contest" in March to taking part in an illegal drag race. Smart is out on a $26,000 bail and will appear in court on Jan. 5 for sentencing. If found guilty, he could spend 90 days in jail and would have to pay a fine.

Smart also has several other moving violations in his past, including three charges of driving without a valid license, two speeding tickets, and one charge of evading a toll booth.

But the charges don't haven't dampened Smart's mood. He tweeted yesterday, "Happy Thanksgiving... Give THANKS, Spread LOVE and be a BLESSING! Enjoy today and eat up!"

'Idol' producer: No major changes for new season

Lythgoe, who helped transform Britain's "Pop Idol" into the American TV juggernaut in 2002, returned as executive producer last season to usher in the post-Simon Cowell era. That ended a two-year hiatus that allowed him to focus on "So You Think You Can Dance," which he produces and helps judge.

For the 10th "American Idol" season, Lythgoe introduced new judges, Jennifer Lopez and Steven Tyler, to join holdover Randy Jackson. Veteran music producer Jimmy Iovine, chairman of Interscope-Geffen-A&M, was brought in as an in-house mentor for the contestants. All of them are back for Season 11, Lythgoe said.

"I think we made a lot of tweaks last year," Lythgoe said. "I'm not sure that we want to make too many more tweaks this year."

Lythgoe said the most significant change introduced last year had nothing to do with the judges: It was a decision to avoid those fish-out-of-water moments that forced very talented singers to sing in styles that didn't suit them.

"The biggest change we made last year was to say, 'OK, if you're a country singer you can sing any of these genres in your country style,'" Lythgoe said. "'We're not going to force you to do rock or anything you can't do. You can take a Michael Jackson song and turn it country.'"

That resulted in singers such as Casey Abrams and Haley Reinhart advancing much deeper into the competition than they might have in previous years. The two teenage finalists, Scotty McCreery and Lauren Alaina, were country singers.

McCreery, the first pure country "Idol" winner since Carrie Underwood in 2005, saw his October release, "Clear As Day," make him the first country act to debut at No. 1 with its first studio album on the Billboard 200 chart. And at 18, he became the youngest man to open at the top of the chart with his debut release. He also was the first "Idol" winner to start his post-"Idol" career with a No. 1 album since Ruben Studdard in 2003.

Lythgoe said last year the show found "some incredible talent, and it was so diverse."

"We got this great jazz singer in Casey, we got a soft jazz singer in Haley, and the two country kids (in the finals) probably in previous years wouldn't have been as successful because they would have been asked to sing in the different styles that we used to do then," he said last week.

Lythgoe expects similar results in Season 11.

"The kids that have auditioned this year that we're going to be taking to Hollywood in December are again really talented and really diverse," he said. "Hopefully they'll get through one of the toughest auditions, which is the Hollywood week, and get themselves into the top 20."

Lythgoe said he believes "Idol" should be "totally about the talent" and the recent changes foster that.

"For me," he said, "it's really showing the talent that is here and not trying to take somebody who's talented, beat them around the bucket and turn them out."

Car Trouble? Jennifer Lopez Fakes Fiat Commercial With Help From Bronx Body Double

It's a good thing Jennifer Lopez has never been one to shy away from scandal, because this week she's found herself deep in a couple of them, not because of her new dancer beau or coperforming ex hubby, but—oddly enough—because of her deal as the incessant new face of Fiat.

So what's the problem? Well, she may be the face of the company's new ads. But she's certainly not the body.

By now, anyone who's been within a 25-foot vicinity of a TV set in the past few weeks has seen J.Lo's commercial: she's driving the Fiat 500, of course, through the Bronx, and takes the viewer on a nice little root-returning inspirational drive down memory lane:

"Here, this is my world," she says in voiceover as she's shown behind the steering wheel, dreamily gazing out at the stereotypical Bronx scenes passing by. "This place inspires me to be tougher, to stay sharper, to think faster. They may be just streets to you, but to me, they're a playground."

Unfortunately, it's all a sham.

As first discovered by The Smoking Gun, despite the appearance of a pilgrimage, the 42-year-old dealmaker did not once step foot into the gritty borough that so inspired her. Instead, Lopez filmed all her close-up, staring-off-into-the-distance bits from the safety of Los Angeles, while a body double was tasked with making the low-speed drive through the Bronx.

Per the investigative site, shots of J.Lo were merged together with the body double's driving work to make it appear as though it was the Bronx's prodigal daughter who had returned.

The company itself didn't do much to try and clarify things, as the press release they issued to go along with the 60-second "My World" spot declared that the commercial showed Lopez "driving a Fiat 500 Cabrio as she travels through the streets of Manhattan to the Bronx where she grew up."

Oops.

So what does everyone have to say about it? While J.Lo's camp has so far kept mum on the budding controversy, Fiat did issue a statement this morning where they acknowledged the movie magic that went into filming the spot, but offered no apology as to the misleading nature of both this and apparently a second commercial that's due to come out during the holiday season.

"Both commercials featuring Jennifer Lopez were indeed filmed in the Bronx as well as outside locations," the statement reads. "As you may know, in today's world, people are increasingly mobile and their work takes them to a variety of locations. As a result, we took the opportunity to film wherever Ms. Lopez was working at the time to accommodate her schedule.

"The commercial tells the story of how the simple elements of our upbringing can help explain who we are, where we're going and serve as a source of inspiration to achieve our goals in life. One does not need to be in a specific location to be inspired or continue to be inspired."

Maybe not. But one should probably think twice before they decide not to heed that old adage about truth in advertising.

Jennifer Lopez and New Boyfriend "Pretty Serious," Says Source-but What About That Jail Thing?

That's what happens when you're a 24-year-old dancer who happens to be dating Jennifer Lopez, 42.

So who is this Mr. Smart? Here's everything you need to know, including the truth behind reports he could be headed for jail...

• First up, his name! He goes by Casper, but his birthname is Beau. While he's only be 5-foot-8, Smart is about 165 pounds of all muscle. A native of Anaheim, Calif., he has a shaved head, some tattoos and rocks diamond studs in both ears (the bling look isn't for everybody, but it suits him).

• He and Lopez met after he was hired six months ago as—what else?—one of her backup dancers. "It's pretty serious," a source says of the romance. "They're together a lot. She's never been happier."

• Smart is quite the established dancer. Besides performing alongside his girlfriend, he's worked with Beyoncé, Nicki Minaj, Eminem, Jordin Sparks and David Guetta, among others.

• Gleeks may recognize him, too. He's appeared in at least three episodes of Glee and is friends with Mark Salling.

• According to Smart's official bio, he was going to dance on Michael Jackson's This Is It world tour.

• He's currently choreographing a new music video for Mike Posner. Guess who he brought along to a recent casting session—yup, Ms. Lopez. "It was really nerve-wracking for the dancers," a source said. "They not only had to audition, but they had to do it in front of J Lo. She was smiling and seemed to enjoy watching her boyfriend work."

• Just like Lopez, Smart also has connections to President Barack Obama. Well, Sorta.

It was back in 2008, when Smart starred in an Obama vs. John McCain danceoff video on YouTube that went viral. The Republican presidential candidate's head was superimposed onto Smart's dancing body. Too bad Smart's face isn't seen because the vid has more than 12 million views.

• We're happy to report that Smart doesn't appear to be using Lopez for her fame and fortune. "He's totally cool," a source said. "He's not jaded. He's not asking Jennifer to buy him this or that. He's courting her, like sending her flowers. I think his intentions are in the right place."

• As for celeb tabloid In Touch's report that Smart could be headed to jail? Well, E! News has confirmed he was arrested and charged with taking part in a highway speed contest, aka a drag race. He is currently out on $26,000 bail. After pleading no contest to the charge in March, he was ordered to do 10 days of community service by his next court date, Jan. 5. He faces up to 90 days in the slammer and a $500 fine if he doesn't finish in time.

Chances of him actually heading to jail are pretty slim, but he may want scale back on his need for speed.

He recently tweeted a pic of his Kawasaki motorcycle with the message, "Out on my babie cruzin the streetz... Gettin things done fast!! :)"

Just try not going too fast.

Did Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony hook up in Puerto Rico?

While Lopez has reportedly been enjoying a "fling” with a 24-year-old backup dancer, Us Weekly claims that Lopez and Anthony spent the night together in San Juan while shooting their talent competition show, "¡Q'Viva! The Chosen."

Anthony picked up Lopez at the airport, and, sources say, he and JLo hooked up. "He has this hold over [Lopez],” a source claimed. "Marc never stayed in his hotel room."

Another source shared that while there may have been hanky-panky going on between the couple, who split in July after seven years of marriage, there is no chance of full-blown reconciliation. "They may sleep together, but they're over," the source explains.

If this alleged romp took place, it is surprising given Lopez's recent behavior. She has been rumored to be having a "fun fling" with 24-year-old Casper Smart. Smart was seen partying into the wee hours with the pop star in Las Vegas in September, and was spotted leaving her hotel in New York more recently.

At the American Music Awards Sunday night, Smart danced shirtless on stage with Lopez, who wore a revealing crystal-encrusted bodysuit. Later, JLo hit an after-party with Smart, and a source told Page Six that Lopez was "really affectionate" with him, and even introduced him to pals including “X-Factor” judge and industry bigwig L.A. Reid. Other sources say Lopez gave Smart a lap dance and a kiss at the party, and that they left hand-in-hand at 12:45 a.m.

Meanwhile, sources tell Page Six that Lopez and Anthony's relationship seems strained, and that Lopez would only allow her ex to perform at the Sunday awards show if she went first and was given a much bigger segment than him.

Lopez's publicist did not return calls for comment on the rumor.

The superstar “Idol” judge danced provocatively in a skintight bodysuit on the Sunday night show, with her new, muscled, 24-year-old boy toy, Casper Smart, dancing shirtless nearby.

A source told us, “J.Lo also would only allow Marc to perform at the AMAs if she performed on the show first and had a much bigger number than him . . . which is what happened. She had two stages and he had half a stage for his later performance. The only thing they shared that night was Pitbull,” who performed with both.

J.Lo proved she could even steal the show with her new beau at the after-party at Greystone Manor. In an Emilio Pucci sequined minidress with feathers and sparkly stilettos, she danced with Smart to tunes including Michael Jackson and Prince spun by DJ Cassidy. There was no sign of Anthony, with whom she has remained on friendly terms despite their split after seven years in July.

One spy told us, “Jennifer was really affectionate with Casper. She even introduced him to other stars including L.A. Reid.” Lopez’s rep didn’t get back to us. Also at the Grey Goose party was Chris Brown, who “danced topless with his entourage all night,” said a source, adding, “He didn’t even stop when the DJ played Rihanna’s new song. He appeared unfazed, loving the attention.”

Sources tell us there was also tension between Christina Aguilera and her fellow “The Voice” judge Adam Levine during earlier rehearsals for the AMAs, where they performed “Moves Like Jagger.” A spy said, “At the end of the number, Adam went to hug Christina in a friendly fashion, but she pushed him away, gave him a dirty look and stormed backstage.” A rep for Levine told us, “100 per cent not true,” Aguilera’s rep didn’t comment.

Lopez began the night demurely enough, singing a ballad in long, flowing dress on the stage of the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles. But soon, the "American Idol" judge stopped with a naughty smile and ripped off her dress, revealing a rhinestone-encrusted body suit underneath. It was a strikingly similar ensemble to the one Britney Spears donned for her MTV Video Music Awards performance of "Oops, I Did It Again" in 2000 after stripping off a tuxedo.

As Lopez performed her song "Papi," the triple threat was surrounded by a small army of male backup dancers, who pulled yet another layer of beading off her bodysuit. When rapper Pitbull appeared on stage, Lopez walked seductively toward him, leaning forward on a cane and rubbing her famous posterior against his crotch.

The raunchy move might have inspired some jealously in Casper Smart, the tattooed backup dancer Lopez is reportedly dating. He danced shirtless just to Lopez's right during the song "On the Floor." After the sexy performance, he tweeted, "Just killlllled the show with @JLo at the #AMAs2011!!!!"

At an after-party later in the night, Lopez headed straight for Smart and dragged him into a booth by his hand, according to Us Weekly. Lopez didn't seem bothered by their 18 year age difference. Sources saw Lopez give Smart a lap dance to a Michael Jackson medley. The singer also apparently kissed him and rubbed his head. The two left the party hand-in-hand at 12:45 a.m.

Lopez and Smart have allegedly been dating for weeks. The dancer was spotted partying with Lopez in Las Vegas into the wee hours of the night after a performance in late September. A week later, he was seen exiting the star's hotel in New York.

"Yes, they are dating and having a good time," a source told People. "They've been getting more open with their flirting for weeks."

Another source called the relationship a "fun fling."

But Lopez clearly trusts Smart, who has also backup danced for Beyoncé and has a regular gig performing at Club Boulevard in Los Angeles. On Saturday, Lopez sent Smart along with her personal assistant to pick out items at the AMA gifting suite. Among other freebies, Smart selected two Rubik's Cubes, possibly for Lopez's twin 3-year-olds, Max and Emme, her children from her seven-year marriage to singer Marc Anthony.

The newly minted American Music Awards winner celebrated her big night with a party at L.A.'s Greystone Manor.

The diva herself arrived at the soirée, sponsored by Fiat and Grey Goose, around 10:30 pm in a short white Emilio Pucci sequined and feathered mini dress and glittering stilettos.

Once inside the party she ran to her reserved area into the arms of—you guessed it—her new dancer beau, Caspar Smart.

It's there that she held court with the muscley Smart. They danced on the banquettes to old school dance tunes from Michael Jackson, New Edition and even one-hit wonder Crystal Waters (remember, "She's Homeless"?).

Across the room was Chris Brown, who never stopped dancing, even to a Rihanna tune. X Factor's L.A. Reid was spotted in the crowd as Lance Bass chatted with Lady Antebellum's Charles Kelly and his beautiful wife Cassie McConnell in a corner near the bar. Jamie Lynn Sigler danced in a group that included Bass and Once Upon A Time beauty Jennifer Morrison. Pitbull also stopped by, as did Jenny McCarthy.

Mary J. Blige tried to duck the press by dashing into the party, but was booed by photographers when she refused to stop for photos. Chris Daughtry hit the dancefloor near disco queen Chaka Khan. L.A.

At about midnight, four shirtless--and very ripped me--carried a giant replica of an American Music Awards statuette glowing with sparklers over to Lopez. As the DJ blasted J. Lo's hit "Get on the Floor," confetti fell from the ceiling. Scantily clad go-go boys and girls danced on platforms looking over the crowd. A Cirque du Soleil-like performer performed above Lopez and her friends.

"Less" being a barely there, sheer body suit that made a jaw-dropping statement Sunday night at Los Angeles's Nokia Theatre L.A. Live. On stage, she shook and shimmied to a medley of her hits "Until It Beats No More," "Papi" and "On the Floor."

It was a triumphant awards show return for Lopez following her split from Marc Anthony this past summer after seven years of marriage.

Not to mention sexy.

The singer kept it sultry and sassy as she peeled off layer after layer of her costume throughout her performance. By "On the Floor," she was baring almost all in a sheer bodysuit with glittery detailing.

It was also a statement strikingly similar to the one that fellow pop icon Britney Spears made more than a decade ago at the 2000 MTV Video Music Awards. Like Lopez, she dazzled the audience with a strip-tease like dance routine that ended with a barely there sparkly-nude ensemble.

Living up to her title as PEOPLE's reigning Most Beautiful Woman Lopez, 42, is more than twice as old as Spears was when she wore a similar ensemble (Spears was 17 at the time).

Perhaps it was a tough act to follow for Marc Anthony, who took the stage moments later with Pitbull and Lil Jon to sing "Rain Over Me."

Lopez's performance was met with a standing ovation, and she picked up honors later for favorite artist in the Latin music category.

"It's been a really amazing year in so many ways," she said as she accepted the award. "It's been up and down and just exciting and overwhelming."

In a performance that could best be described as Cirque du Soleil brought to you by Fiat, JLo unveiled the car she shills during a medley that included "Until it beats no more" and "Papi." So viewers were treated to the subcompact during the entire performance.

As for the non-product placement portion of JLo's performance, there were contortionists, stilt walkers and Lopez's ever-dwindling outfit.

Marc Anthony and Jennifer Lopez both will be performing at this weekend's American Music Awards – and Lopez's new beau Casper Smart also may be on stage as one of her dancers.

The pair, who split last summer after seven years of marriage, will take the stage separately at Los Angele's Nokia Theatre L.A. Live.

Lopez will be doing a three-song medley of her hits "Until It Beats No More," "Papi" and "On the Floor" and a duet with Will.i.am, who's debuting his single. "Anthony will join Pitbull and Lil Jon for Pitbull's hit "Rain Over Me."

But don't expect any big trouble. The exes are on friendly enough terms to reunite just last week in Puerto Rico to work on their upcoming talent show Q'Viva! The Chosen.

"Jennifer and Marc were filming their show Q'Viva! The Chosen together for the first time in Puerto Rico last Tuesday," a source tells PEOPLE. "They were there to audition talent."

Lopez, 42, and Anthony, 43 announced their split in July, but have said they intended to maintain a working relationship for their new talent show.

In The Chosen, from American Idol creator Simon Fuller, Lopez, Anthony and tour-director-to-the-stars Jamie King will travel to 21 countries across the Americas. They will be searching for the "world's most extraordinary talent," Anthony has said.

The show is set to air in the United States in early 2012.

Lopez appears to have moved on romantically, and has been linked with dancer Casper Smart.

We just confirmed that Lopez will be performing at this Sunday's 2011 American Music Awards at L.A.'s Nokia Theatre.

A few months after she and husband Marc Anthony announced they were splitting, the American Idol judge appears to be logging time with a new man: Los Angeles-based dancer Casper Smart.

"Yes, they are dating and having a good time," a source tells PEOPLE of the pair. "They've been getting more open with their flirting for weeks."

Smart, who has appeared in Glee, Step Up 3D and How I Met Your Mother, reportedly also dances at Los Angeles-area nightclubs.

Smart also reported that he and Lopez worked together on Friday night, posting on his Facebook page: "In Palo Alto Bout to do a show w/ Jennifer Lopez for some1s birthday."

Lopez had been most recently linked to Bradley Cooper.

As for her budding romance with Casper, another source describes it as "a fun fling." Says the source: "It's not meant to turn into anything more."

A rep for Lopez had no comment.

This wouldn't be the first time Lopez, 42, has been romantically involved with a dancer. She was married to choreographer and dancer Cris Judd in 2001, and the couple split in 2002.

Jennifer Lopez to play Carmen Sandiego?

Well, we might see her in that look sooner rather than later, if recent reports that Lopez could potentially don the finest in incognito spy gear as educational detective-turned-thief Carmen Sandiego are correct.

According to Deadline, Lopez is interested in producing a "Where In the World Is Carmen Sandiego?" movie with Walden Media, and could likely wind up playing the title role. Fans of the '80s computer game and '90s TV series (of both the animated and game show variety) will recall that Sandiego is a former detective-turned-evil-villain being chased by her former detective agency.

The premise of the live-action movie: "When the ACME agency's greatest detective Carmen Sandiego becomes the world's greatest thief, it's up to her former partner to follow her clues and track her down. Their cat-and-mouse game leads the partner to confront a greater mystery: Is Carmen really a thief or a hero?"

Now's your cue to get really mad that Hollywood is turning yet another beloved childhood property into a movie instead of coming up with original ideas. It's okay, we'll wait.

Second, Lopez is kind of awesome as a tough chick. Remember "Out of Sight"? That was a really good movie. And third, we can never be mad at a project that could potentially have Rockapella involved.

Jennifer Lopez Fired Manager Who Thought She Was Fat

In Glamour's December issue, the American Idol host reveals that she had to take extreme action when a manager had the audacity to imply that she had to lose weight.

"I was just so infuriated that somebody said you couldn't have a little extra meat on you -- because I was by no means fat!" Lopez says. "That was so mean and closed-minded. I was like: 'No, this is who I am and this is the type of woman that I grew up with and it's beautiful. There's no reason to be anybody but myself.'"

That manager became her former manager after that.

And although Lopez, 42, is fine with her weight and shape, she's not opposed to a little plastic surgery should she feel the need in the future.

"I'm open to being open," Lopez says. "I'm not going to make a judgment on it because I don't have to yet."
