Algoma Kendo Club

Located in Sault Ste Marie, Ontario the Algoma Kendo Club is a small but dedicated group who study of the traditional sword-based Japanese martial art - Kendo, the way of the sword. Our aim is to introduce this art and develop it within our community. Kendo is based on traditional Japanses swordsmanship (kenjutsu) that was practised by the samurai of ancient Japan and although Kendo has evolved over the centuries it still shares many of the original attributes found in bushido.
