Buying a house?
The minimum downpayment is 5% to obtain a new
mortgage with any bank or credit union.
If you can put down 25% or more, there will not be
any payment of fee to Canada Mortgage & Housing Corp, otherwise, a
payment of insurance fee of up to 3.75% of the loan amount. This fee can also be
financed and included in the mortgage payments, if you qualify.
Just tell us your annual income and if you have any
debts, we will tell you
how much of a mortgage you can qualify for; the required downpayment;
the monthly payments with property tax and the maximum price of a home
that you can buy.
OR
We can find you a home with assumable mortgages. In
Alberta, almost all residential mortgages are assumable without
qualifications. This option is ideal for someone who has credit problem
or otherwise, does not meet the bank’s requirements. Please ask us for more
details in this respect.
There are also sellers who are interested in carrying
either a first or second mortgage to sell their properties and they
require very minimum qualifying criteria from the buyer.
