my van

A 1982 Volkswagen Vanagon Westfalia Diesel. I bought it in 1992, and in 1994 I replaced the stock 4 cylinder diesel engine with an 1800 8v gas engine (see swap page).
I use it as a daily driver and as a recreation vehicle and it performs both functions reliably and with some aplomb.
The van now (07/2002) has 201,000 miles on the odometer. Little has failed on the engine - leaky camshaft seal - and the rest of the van seems to be holding up well.
Obviously I think its a great van!
