February 27, 2008

EIFS Research in  Canada and the US - What the industry has been doing when nobody was looking

Presenter:  John Edgar, Senior Technical Service Manager for Sto Corp., based in Atlanta, GA

Topic:    The title will have to do as the topic description, but based on past performance, his presentation should be at once entertaining, informative, and challenging - and fear not, John loves a challenge, so let the comments and questions flow.

Bio:      John Edgar graduated from Ryerson Polytechnical Institute with a diploma in Architectural Technology, Building Science.  He has worked in the EIFS Industry in Canada and the United States, starting in Alberta 25 years ago.

Mr. Edgar has been active in numerous industry committees including the Standing Committee on Environmental Separation, National Building Code Canada (1991-2005); Steering Committee-CMHC Best Practice Guide EIFS; ULCanada S716 Task Group EIFS Standard development;  Chair- EIMA Building Envelope Sub Committee, ASTM E06-58 EIFS Standards development and the ANSI/EIMA Standards Development Committee.  He is a member of the OBEC and the Atlanta Building Enclosure Council.
