EDUCATION EXPERIENCE:

  I graduated from Reed College, Portland, Oregon, U.S.A. with

a degree in Mathematics in 1972. While in college I enrolled in

graduate mathematics courses and honour courses in physics and

chemistry, as well as the humanities. I have also studied at

Portland State University, Portland, Oregon.

Nov 1987- August 1990: (UNIX Platform)

Music Instructor and computer Programmer for Alberta

Conservatory of Music, Calgary, Alberta. Aside from teaching the

piano to beginning and intermediate students, I maintained,

programmed and updated the phone report and sales system for the

Conservatory on an UNIX compatible CROMIX system. I converted a

system of programs from DBASE II to DBASE III, set up an

automatic time table for the programs to execute automatically,

and made sure files from disk are properly backed up and saved

onto floppy tapes every Sunday automatically.

Concurrently

(A) I entered 7000 computer records for WISE SOFTWARE of

Calgary, AB using RAPID FILE system on a contract basis.

(B) I act as DATA ENTRY clerk for PORTS INTERNATIONAL fashion

company. This is a continuation of my work with WISE SOFTWARE.

Duties include creating and entering MAILING LIST, sorting,

deleting, extracting and printing of records.

Fabrics of Calgary. This job was also refered by WISE SOFTWARE.

(D) I worked for HOLLIS and Associates, a company that publishes

Oil Well information for 3000 wells in South East Asia, as a data

entry personnel on a Macintosh computer.

1981-1985

I programmed for PRIOR CHOICE SOFTWARE of BOX 11131,

Portland, Oregon , U.S.A. I was responsible for graphic display

of astronomical planetary positions as well as graphic display of

DOW JONES Averages from 1922 to present. The computer I worked on

was an APPLE II and recently an IBM XT.

1985-1987

I did mostly word processing and data entry for students and

local people such as restaurant, travel agencies, and a couple of

accountants.

Teaching and Demonstrating Experience:

I taught music and piano for the Alberta Conservatory of

Music of Calgary, Alberta from November 1987 to present. See Work

Experience (1) above.

While enrolled at Portland State University I served as a

mathematics tutor for undergraduate students.

I have also worked as an accompanist for a Ballet Studio

(Cathy Maunder Dance Center) from September 1987 to January 1988.
