Between the monotony of life and the flight from it, between forgotten dreams and their fulfillment, there is a still point. Our search for that salvation is neverending.

I see salvation as success at defining your own existence, while realizing that no one thing can fulfill that existence. An existence, a life, is a combination and balancing of work, love, solitude -- a synthesis.

sal va' tion n 3 a: a preservation from destruction or failure. We all carry demons within. The struggle between them and virtue is an eternal balancing act. I believe that in most of us, virtue tips the scale, and so we carry also our own salvation within.
