COMPRESSED BREATHING AIR SAMPLING INSTRUCTIONS
-
The compressor and purification system should be running to
specification.
-
Samples collected for analysis must be representative of the quality
of breathing air system. Therefore take the sample at a point that
is representative of your normal air demands.
-
Make sure your sample cylinder is clean & dry
and the hydrostatic test date is valid.
Water
content in normal air is 4000 times as much as allowed in a good

-
Once clean, mark one cylinder for air analysis only, use this
cylinder for all air testing.
-
Always leave a positive pressure in your cylinder between tests.
-
When sending a sample for testing, fill your cylinder to full
pressure.
-
Label your tank with your company name.
-
Complete sample submission forms with all the information.
-
Know your compressor make and serial number.
-
Compressed air should have little or no odour. After filling your
