Bald Eagle
This consists of two originals. The background is the Bow river at Banff from tunnel mountain. The eagle was taken at a Birds of prey centre at a town not far from my home here in England. I made an adjustment layer of the bird picture and cut it out from its original background. I then simply slid the Canadian countryside in behind it. I used unsharp mask on the bird layer but not on the background.

Good choice of background. It gives the impression of the eagle being high up in the trees. The amount of sharpening you used is just right. I would have made the catch-light in its eye a little bigger.

Very very nice! I love it, and it is very nicely done.

I live in Coventry, England along with my wife Dawn.
Photography has
been a passion of mine for many years, whiling away the hours in a darkened room
I have always been interested in manipulating the images I have taken. As the
computer gradually invaded my life I saw the ‘light’ and now play with my images
digitally. I have been involved with photographic clubs in my local area
since the late 1970s, and a member of the Royal Photographic Society since the
mid 1980s. My membership of PSA only began in early 2001. Having read an
article about the PSA by Ray Wallace-Thompson, I visited the Website and decided
to join. Photographically my current equipment is a Canon EOS outfit, with
a range of lenses, from 24mm to 400mm, my favourites being 24mm, 90mm macro and
400mm. I use a variety of films transparency and monochrome.
As far as
photographic subjects are concerned I will point the camera at most things with
preferences for landscapes, natural history and sports (as long as it involves
wheels).
When it comes to the digital side of things I use Photoshop and
Corel Photopaint, on a custom built system, with an AMD Athlon 1060Mhz
Processor, 256Mb RAM and a 40Gb Hard Drive.
