Javascript is a coding language that is used in web page design to construct what we see when viewing a web page. It is a very powerful language that allows interaction between you and your browser (such as games, forms). Javascript enhances effects, functionality and page navigation, and is now extrememly popular with most internet users.

A simple change of a setting in Netscape or Internet Explorer will allow you to take advantage of the effects that web page designers intend in making web sites interesting and unique, and in making navigation simple. If your browser does not support Javascript you can download one for free from many different sites on the Net (see below).

TO ENABLE JAVASCRIPT:
(Be sure to click "Reload" or "Refresh" once you've enabled javascript.)

- NETSCAPTENAVIGATOR 3:
Go to the Options menu and open Network Preferences. Click the Languages tab and then click the checkbox beside "Enable JavaScript." When the checkbox is selected, JavaScript willwork.

- NETSCAPECOMMUNICATOR/NAVIGATOR 4/6:
At the top left corner of your browser window, click edit, then Preferences. A window will appear. At the left, click "Advanced" and then (at the right) click "Enable Javascript." Then click "OK."

- INTERNETEXPLORER:
Go to the View menu and open Options. Click the Security tab and then click the checkbox beside "RunActiveX scripts" near the bottom of the tab. When the checkbox is selected, JavaScript will work.
