Office Volunteer Program
ACPD relies on volunteers to keep our office open. The office volunteer program provides opportunity for people with disabilities to participate in volunteerism in a work environment. Volunteer opportunities include:
- staffing our reception area (helping consumers obtain information and making referrals to other helpful agencies).
- helping to produce our newsletter.
- acting as an office support worker for projects that require additional attention .
- acting as a volunteer advocate (see Individual Advocacy Program).
The office volunteer program operates in partnership with the Ministry of Human Resources' Community Volunteer Program.
