THE BUTCHART GARDENS

Each year over 1,000,000 bedding plants in some 700 varieties are used throughout the Gardens to ensure uninterrupted bloom from March through October. Close to a million people visit each year, enjoying not only the floral beauty, but the entertainment and lighting displays presented each summer and Christmas.

ROYAL BRITISH COLUMBIA MUSEUM

The Royal BC Museum is one of the foremost cultural institutions in the world. Located at the corner of Belleville and Douglas Streets, the museum is near both the Parliament Buildings and the Empress Hotel. Each exhibit and gallery tells important stories about British Columbia and provides an engaging and thought-provoking window on the province's past, present and future. 

ORCA WHALE WATCHING

Orcas, or Killer Whales are very well known in our Pacific Ocean waters. Whale watching expeditions have become one of Victoria's most popular activities and have been rated #1 choice for a return activity by those who have visited our city.

Orcas are residents in our local Pacific Ocean Waters around Victoria and Vancouver Island. Whale sightings are particularly spectacular in May, June, July, August and September.
